Our team is focused on developing a pipeline of data center investments (presently, there is less than 20% capacity MW) in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our combined team has over 20+ years of experience in corporate finance, infrastructure, and asset management in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our team has a collective US$ 5 billion of assets under hands-on management. We have a collective track record in similar projects in the US, Africa, and the Middle East. Through our partnership with one of Africa's largest telecoms companies, we provide a strong investment pipeline of over USD 500MM deployable within 24 months, with projected returns in the mid-20s. Together with our Global strategic partners are arranging a debt facility of US$ 1 billion to support a pipeline of geographic and economic diversification using SPVs with a focus on the fastest-growing population in the world. Our long-term strategy is to roll up these SPVs into a Real Estate Trust targeted post 2030 with a potential listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and Luxembourg Stock Exchange. This requires onset transparency and corporate governance through the development and stabilisation period.

Our team is building a pipeline of digital infrastructure assets. The pipeline will offer investment opportunities in the data center property infrastructure. Each property asset has been set up into a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) asset holding company, allowing for participants’ control and transparency. Scalar is tailoring the real estate portfolio to adhere to the general mandate of local asset managers with a 2030 target of REIT Trust. Scalar is at advanced stages in negotiations with asset managers, debt providers, and stakeholders.
