Energy Audits and Reporting

Scalar contractors offer desktop and onsite auditing services to determine where, when, why, and how energy is used in a building/facility and to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Our engineering partners lead the audit process but work closely with building/facility owners, staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of collected data and the appropriateness of the energy efficiency recommendation(s).

Audits typically begin with a review of historical and current utility data and benchmarking of the building/facility’s energy use against other similar operations. This adequately prepares the teams for the onsite inspection of the physical building/facility. The outcomes of an energy audit are a list of recommended Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs), their associated energy savings potential, and an assessment of whether EEM installation costs are a good financial investment.
